UK Decline is a public-data site. It does not run reader accounts, comments, newsletter sign-ups or a membership database. This page explains what is stored, when third-party services are used and how to contact the publisher.
Visitors do not need to create an account to use the public pages.
Analytics only loads after analytics cookies are accepted.
Some preferences are saved in your browser so the site can remember settings.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses a cookie banner for analytics consent. Google Analytics is intended to load only after analytics cookies are accepted. If analytics are rejected, the site should remain usable and the cookie choice can be changed through the cookie settings link in the footer.
Analytics is used to understand broad site usage such as popular pages, device types and referrers. It is not intended to identify individual visitors, build reader profiles or decide what data a specific visitor sees.
Browser storage
Some features use browser storage on your own device. Examples include theme choice, cookie choice, returning-visit progress, saved lookup preferences, map settings or whether a small site prompt has already been dismissed.
This storage is used to make the site work better between visits. It is not a server-side user account. Clearing your browser data may remove these preferences.
Postcode and local lookup tools
Local lookup tools use the postcode entered to return area results, such as local authority, NHS, crime, rent, benefits, school or sewage signals where those public datasets are available. A postcode is used as a lookup key for public-area information.
Do not enter names, phone numbers, private notes or other personal information into lookup boxes. The tools are designed for public geography, not private casework.
Results are guides to public datasets. A local-authority or postcode-district statistic should not be read as a claim about a named person, household or business.
Third-party services and links
Some pages link to or load third-party services. Examples may include Google fonts, public map or Street View embeds, X links, Buy Me a Coffee, official data sources and the browser's own sharing tools. Those services may process data under their own terms when you choose to use them or when their embedded content loads.
External links are included for source receipts, social sharing, support or official context. UK Decline cannot control the privacy practices of external websites.
Advertising and support
The site has used supporter links such as Buy Me a Coffee. Display advertising may be tested in future if it can be added without damaging readability, data access or trust. Advertising placements should not block content, disguise themselves as navigation or interfere with calculators, maps or forms.
If advertising is added, the privacy and cookie information should be updated where needed. The aim is to keep source-backed public data available without requiring a login, subscription, email capture or intrusive prompt.
Email contact
If you email contact@ukdecline.co.uk, your email address and message contents will be visible to the mailbox used to receive and reply to the message. Use email for corrections, source questions and site requests. Do not send sensitive personal data unless it is necessary for your message.
For corrections, include the page URL, the figure or claim, and the source you believe should be checked. Messages are used to handle the query or correction raised; they are not added to a newsletter list.
