Method And Caveats
Snapshot timestamp: -
Source: DWP Stat-Xplore. This page uses cached local authority rows from PIP cases with entitlement from 2019 and Disability Living Allowance in-payment datasets.
The trend column shows the latest PIP caseload against the previous month when the cached refresh includes both periods.
Daily Living and Mobility counts include standard and enhanced awards. Enhanced columns show the highest award level in that component.
Estimated annual award is PIP cases multiplied by average weekly financial award and 52 weeks. It is a pressure estimate, not a formal DWP expenditure table.
Scotland has moved to devolved disability payments. DWP PIP rows for Scotland do not capture the whole Scottish disability benefit system.
Disability Living Allowance is a separate quarterly legacy benefit series. It is shown beside PIP for context, not added into PIP totals.
